Pain is a natural sensation and is felt by all of us at times during our lives.  Unfortunately for some people, pain is a frequent, or even permanent , feature of their lives.  In these cases, pain can come to dominate the person’s life – stopping them from enjoying everyday activities and affecting their mood.  In turn, their relationships, interests and careers are also affected.  Painkillers are available, but they carry the risk of side-effects and the body can become resistant to their action after a while.

Pain Management

Fortunately, hypnotherapy can be very effective for pain management.  It has been successfully used, often alongside medical treatment, for a wide range of conditions including phantom limb pain, neuralgia, migraine and headaches, abdominal pain and also for generalised pain with no identifiable cause.

I design personal treatment plans for all clients, specifically tailored to the individual and the type of pain being experienced.  It is up to the client whether the aim of the treatment is to remove all of the pain, or to just reduce it to a low level.  Alongside the hypnosis itself, I also teach clients techniques to use to manage  pain on an everyday basis.

So, if you are experiencing pain and want to gain control over it, contact me to discuss how hypnotherapy could help you.

NOTE: It is important that you have sought medical advice about your pain before receiving hypnotherapy for pain management.  This is because it is vital that we do not remove pain which could be a warning sign of an undiagnosed medical condition and so delay treatment.

Therefore, I do not offer pain management programmes to anyone suffering pain for which no medical advice has been received.
