Leicester Hypnotherapy, Coaching, and Massage Therapists in Hinckley, Leicestershire

We’re Ann and Steve Finnemore, owners and therapists at Getting You There. We have both experienced the impact stress and other health problems can have, both on the direct sufferers and on the people around them. In fact, it was these experiences that led us to train in coaching and therapies and to set up Getting You There in 2008. Steve trained in physical, bodywork therapies and later, hypnotherapy and Ann trained in coaching, hypnotherapy, NLP and nutrition.

At Getting You There we offer effective and natural approaches to physical and mental well being and effective, motivational coaching.  We provide massage therapy, myofascial release therapy, hypnotherapy, motivational coaching and stress management. Our therapy practice is designed with your comfort in mind, including a massage couch that is well-padded and can be lowered to enable those of you with mobility problems to get on and off easily and comfortably.

Ann Finnemore, Accredited Coach and Hypnotherapist

I love working with clients to enable them to regain control of their lives and their health so that they can make the most of the opportunities around them.

Why I do what I do

It was because of the benefits I received from hypnotherapy, NLP and coaching during a very stressful time in my life that I started to study them. The more I learned about and experienced them, the more I was amazed at what they could do. Since then, I have never ceased to be impressed at the power of both hypnotherapy and coaching to help people get the most out of life - enabling changes to be made easily, improving both mental and physical health and leading to greater success and happiness. When the two are combined, the results are literally amazing!

For me, coaching isn't simply about motivation and inspiration - it's also about understanding the skills and techniques needed to ensure that each goal is also supported by solid plans which lead directly to success. My experience, skills and qualifications in management of people, projects and programmes enable me to work with you as you make those plans - even for your most ambitious goals.

My combination of skills and knowledge is unique and really enables me to work with you to identify and achieve the changes you need to make to achieve your goals in ways which fit into your everyday life - supported by a confident planning process to really get you there.

Early career

My early career was in medical research and I later worked in the voluntary sector and in education. I am a qualified teacher and have taught and trained young people and adults. I also have extensive experience as a senior manager in the public sector, delivering large, complex programmes at national level. My training and experience have given me excellent planning skills, an understanding of the importance of effective stress management and the ability to work alongside people of vastly differing backgrounds.

My own stress management

I manage any stressors in my life by playing with and walking our two Parson terriers (Eddie and Juno), and through my hobby of photography - a great way of ensuring I'm always looking for the beauty in my environment.

Steve Finnemore, Massage Therapist

I am convinced that bodywork therapies provide great benefits to our health, ranging from pure and simple relaxation through to helping the body and mind to recover from stress, injury and illness.

Why I do what I do

In my experience, therapies are only truly effective when they are designed to take account of the specific needs of each individual, rather than on a ‘one size fits all’ basis. That’s why, when you first meet me to discuss your needs and plan your treatment, you will have the opportunity to tell me why you are seeking treatment and what it is you want from it. I have personally benefited from receiving complementary therapies over the years, and I relied on them to help me through a challenging time in my life 20 years ago.

My practical skills are supported by a thorough knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and pathology, enabling me to identify and understand the possible causes of your problems. I then work with you to ensure that the treatment you receive is the best for you and your body; I also give you advice on how best to minimize or avoid your problem in the future.

My own stress management

steve-finnemore-triathlon-cyclingSince January 2013, I have become a keen runner, regularly training for and entering half-marathons. In 2017 I began to take part in triathlons - completing my first at Blenheim Palace at the age of 57.  Taking part in these sports gives me the chance to put my experience and knowledge of muscle care, along with Ann's knowledge of nutrition and motivation techniques to achieve my very best and to give me a very personal insight into the roles played by physical therapy, nutrition and mental attitude in successfully achieving sporting goals.
